Taking inspiration from the newly-commissioned work 'Wallpaper, 2025' by filmmaker Natalie Cubides-Brady, where the film explores how William Morris's designs have been used in screen history. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis wallet has been made \u0026amp; printed in Scotland from recycled leather and celebrates one of the much loved designs featured in the film. \u003cspan\u003eCompton was designed by John Henry Dearle for Morris \u0026amp; Co in 1896.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDesigns featured in the film are, Windrush, Sunflower, Chrysanthemum, Blackthorn, Golden Lily, Seaweed, Compton, Pimpernel, Fruit \u0026amp; Willow Bough. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbout the Exhibition \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWilliam Morris (1834-96) has gone viral. Today, we find his infinitely-reproduced botanical patterns on shower curtains, phone cases, on film and TV, and in all corners of our homes, dentist waiting rooms and shopping centres. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003ca rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Morris Mania Exhibition at William Morris Gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wmgallery.org.uk\/event\/morris-mania\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eMorris Mania\u003c\/em\u003e \u003c\/a\u003ewill explore a complicated legacy. Over 125 years since his death, Morris’s work continues to grow in popularity. His patterns are now affordable, well-loved and available to people across the globe, something he failed to achieve in his lifetime.
