Wallpaper fit for a Queen.

After success in decorating the armour and tapestry rooms at St James's Palace, Queen Victoria invited William Morris back to decorate the Grand Staircase in 1880 with this wallpaper. The complex pattern required 68 woodblocks to print.

Adapted from the original design for 'St James's' wallpaper held within the William Morris Gallery collection.
