NEW EXHIBITION: Earthly Paradise: Radical Living in the UK

We're delighted to launch Earthly Paradise: Radical Living in the UK, a major touring exhibition exploring the people, places and communities who challenged convention and reimagined how we might live together.

Spanning 200 years of British social and cultural history, the exhibition brings together artists, activists, designers and visionaries who created alternative ways of living, working and making. From William Morris and Red House to the Bloomsbury Group's Charleston, the Ladies of Llangollen, Benton End and post-war housing activists, Earthly Paradise reveals how ideas of home have long been intertwined with creativity, politics and social change.

To celebrate the exhibition, we've created an exciting new collection of exclusive products inspired by the people, places and stories featured throughout the show. Developed especially for William Morris Gallery, the range invites visitors to take home a piece of the exhibition and continue exploring its themes long after their visit.

At the heart of the range is William Morris's iconic Daisy design (1862), originally created for Red House and now featured across a selection of tote bags, tea towels, prints, cushions, stationery and gifts.

We're also proud to present a special collection of exclusive designs by artist and historian Rory Hutton. Created especially for the exhibition, these striking lino-cut artworks celebrate remarkable figures and places including the Ladies of Llangollen, Red House, Oscar Wilde, Charleston, the Guild of Handicraft and Benton End. Available on prints, textiles, postcards and homewares, the range offers a unique way to take a piece of the exhibition home.
The collection extends into the exhibition's post-war stories of activism and social change, with bold stickers, patches and accessories inspired by housing campaigns, community action and grassroots protest. In partnership with Glasgow Women's Library, we've also introduced a selection of T-shirts, caps and accessories featuring historic feminist designs including Women at Work and Jobs for the Girls.
From beautiful homewares and exclusive artworks to protest-inspired apparel and thoughtful gifts, the Earthly Paradise collection celebrates creativity, community and the power of alternative ways of living.

Every purchase supports William Morris Gallery's exhibitions, collections, conservation work and community programmes.

We look forward to welcoming you to Earthly Paradise: Radical Living in the UK and sharing this exciting new collection with you.  The Gallery is open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm and be purchased instore and online here.
