Thank you for visiting our online shop. All sales go to support the work of the William Morris Gallery.
These terms and conditions of sale are applicable to all orders placed through this site. By placing an order you agree to be bound by and accept these terms and conditions. These sale terms do not affect your statutory rights which cannot be waived or limited by contract.
The William Morris Gallery is owned and operated by the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
All items offered on our website are subject to availability. On completing your order you will receive an email to confirm receipt and details of your order. When your order is ready to be shipped you will be sent a second email to confirm that we have accepted your order and that it has been dispatched. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods.
Every care has been taken to ensure accurate descriptions for each of our products. We try to display the colours of products as clearly as possible but as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will be entirely accurate. Sizes are given as a guide only. Please be aware that handmade items are subject to variations in size, colour and shape owing to the unique nature of the product.

Prices and Payment
All prices are in UK Sterling (£) and include VAT at 20% where applicable. Postage and packaging charges are not included in the prices quoted.
Methods of Payment
We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards and via Paypal. If you prefer you can also place an order by phone – +44(0)20 8496 1470 (Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm)
We take online security and customer confidence very seriously. All payments are made using Worldpay or PayPal, which allow transactions to be processed without passing your card or bank account details on to us. The William Morris Gallery does not retain, store, or have access to customer credit information.
When you purchase products from our online shop we only collect information that is necessary in order to process and fulfill your order. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name and address. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Unless you opt to join our mailing list at the checkout stage, your details will only be used by us to contact you regarding your order. If you do decide to join our mailing list you will only receive updates sent by the William Morris Gallery and no third parties.
Delivery cost depends on the weight of the items selected and the destination. This will be automatically calculated when you go to checkout, at which point you can still cancel your purchase. All orders are dispatched by Royal Mail and are not trackable.
Christmas 2021 delivery
Due to ongoing disruption of postal services we recommend placing your order as early as possible. Please refer to Royal Mail's latest recommended posting dates for further information. (Please note these dates are for guidance only and we cannot guarantee Christmas delivery.)
Our usual delivery times are:
- UK: please allow 5-7 business days
- Europe: please allow up to 3 weeks
- Rest of the World: please allow up to 5 weeks
Order pick up ("Click and Collect")
If you choose to pick up your order, you will receive an email when it is ready to be collected from the William Morris Gallery shop. Please bring your confirmation email with you. The shop is open for collections Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm. Your order will be kept for 15 days before we automatically refund you.
Customs and Excise Duty
All overseas orders may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the destination. Any additional charges for clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Custom policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local Customs office for further information.
Special Delivery Requirements
If you have any special requirements please contact us prior to placing your order. Email email@example.com or call +44(0)20 8496 1470 (Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm).
We guarantee to exchange or refund any item that does not meet with your complete satisfaction. Please return any unwanted item to us within 28 days, unused and in the original (or similarly robust) packaging with all the original documentation. Please include a note explaining why the item is being returned and if you would prefer an exchange or refund.
For hygiene reasons earrings cannot be returned unless faulty.

Discount codes cannot be combined, and only one may be used per order.
Gift cards can only be purchased online and are delivered by email. They are redeemable online via wmgallery.org.uk/shop or at the William Morris Gallery on-site shop.
Can be used as full or part purchase of shop merchandise. If the order exceeds the amount of the gift card, the balance must be paid by an alternative method.
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and are not valid for event tickets or in the gallery tea room.

Gift cards issued after 7 July 2021 are valid for a maximum of 24 months.
Please keep your gift card code safe and use it by the expiry date if applicable.
The William Morris Gallery cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen gift cards or credit amounts.
You have the right to cancel the purchase of any item within 14 days of delivery. Please note that earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless faulty. If you wish to cancel your purchase, please return the item to the address below. If the item is received back in saleable condition, the purchase price will be refunded.
Any refunds granted will be credited to the payment method used to process the order.
Return postage charges are non-refundable unless your order was faulty or incorrect.
Please note that when returning an item, the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend that you ask the Post office for proof of posting (available free of charge). If you fail to return non-faulty goods at your own expense, we reserve the right to charge the direct costs for their recovery and may offset that amount against any refund due.
When you buy a ticket online, you are buying an e-ticket. An order confirmation will be emailed to you. Please print this, or bring a screenshot on your phone, to gain entry to the event. Tickets are non-refundable.
If an event is cancelled by the William Morris Gallery you will be refunded in full.
