Golden Lily Tea Towel

Tea towel finished in the iconic Golden Lily print. 

Golden Lily was designed by John H Dearle in 1899. Dearle started for Morris & Co as a shop assistant in his teens and rose to become a design apprentice, trained by William Morris himself before becoming the Chief designer for the company in 1890. Following Morris's death, Dearle became the Art Director for the firm creating designs for tapestries, wallpaper, embroidery, woven and printed textiles, stained glass and carpets.
