St James' Cotton Tote Bag

This cotton tote bag with a fresh new colour treatment for the summer season takes inspiration from the 'St. James' Wallpaper from the William Morris Gallery Collections. 

After success in decorating the armour and tapestry rooms at St James's Palace, Queen Victoria invited William Morris back to decorate the Grand Staircase in 1880 with this wallpaper. The complex pattern required 68 woodblocks to print.
