Decorative Terracotta Wall Tile - Dear House

The quotation forms a ribbon laid on a design inspired by Morris's 'Bird' woven wool fabric c.1878. The words are taken from a piece intended for Morris's new house at Kelmscot in Gloucestershire which was embroidered by his wife Jane into the hangings in their bedroom.
